Weekly themes ignite imagination, and every Friday concludes with a Grand Finale Art Exhibit, showcasing their spectacular creations. Imagination Station: Light Up Your Art! (Pre-K) (Ages 4-6)

Our little artists will dance through the magic of lights and shadows in art as they explore the effects of light in color in their very own artistic creations! We will create glow in the dark art, colorful designs using light tables and shadow puppetry as well. The magic and science of light with color will be a spectrum delight!

Enter the underwater depths by creating paper mache starfish, three dimensional Alexander Calder-inspired hanging Jellyfish, and watercolor paintings that go along with the beloved Rainbow Fish story. Artists will work collaboratively to create a wall mural inspired by contemporary artist Jenny Berry. Explore many types of art mediums such as clay, oil pastels, and paint! After a weeklong of ocean fun, friends and family are welcome to join us for the Under the Sea Grand Finale Art Exhibit in celebration of the artists’ hard work!
Go Wild With Art! (Pre-K) (Ages 4-6)

Join the safari to explore wild animals! Create large tiger paintings inspired by the artwork of Henri Rousseau, build a lion mask out of found objects, and look at animal patterns to create an abstract sculpture! Artists will also have the opportunity to work collaboratively to make a jungle scene with slithering snakes and hanging monkeys. Create paper collages like Henri Matisse, sculpt clay giraffe busts and so much more animal fun that will make you roar! At the end of camp on Friday, family and friends are welcome to join us for the Go Wild With Art Grand Finale Art Exhibit in celebration of everyone’s hard work!
Imagination Station: Art Construction World (Pre-K) (Ages 4-6)

Get ready to open your tool box of art ideas s to construct your own world of art with us! We will explore the endless possibilities of cardboard and found objects when creating assemblage sculptures. We will be inspired by Louise Nevelson’s found object wall sculptures and learn to transform recyclables into art masterpieces! Artists will design roller coasters using the design elements of line and play with kid-friendly construction tools when they build on work benches and bulldoze their way through sensory sand boxes.
Imagination Station: Fly Me to the Moon! (Pre-K) (Ages 4-6)

Fly Me to the Moon where I can make art out of this world! We will design our own flying saucers using mixed media and travel to space from our space stations that we create using recycled boxes and found objects. Vincent Van Gogh’s Starry night will inspire our acrylic paintings that we create with swirls of spiraling color in the galaxial skies. Moon dough will be made with sensory textures in mind when we leave our mark our in our art pieces as footprints like astronauts!

Draw, Paint and Animate (Full Day) (Ages 8-13)

Join us for a weeklong artistic adventure where artists will explore a variety of artistic mediums, including painting, sculpture, animation, digital illustration and mixed media. Participants will have the opportunity to experiment, play, and create their own masterpieces in a supportive, hands-on environment. Artists will be inspired by contemporary and classical artists such as Kent Paulette, Andy Warhol and Yayoi Kusama. Artists will take inspiration from their two-dimensional art to create animations and digital illustrations. Students are required to have their own iPad with the Procreate Stop Motion Studio apps in order to participate in this class. However, we do have a limited number of studio iPads available if needed. Please inquire within, first come first serve. Artists and their families are welcome to join us for the Draw, Paint, and Animation Grand Finale Art Exhibit on the last day of camp!

Sea Meets Land (Half Day) (Ages 7-12)

Join us by exploring the deep blue sea and its marine life, the beauty of the tropical rainforests, and the heat and magnificent animals who roam the savannah by creating drawings, paintings and sculptures inspired by artists such as Henri Matisse’s jungle landscapes, Pablo Picasso’s cubism fish and oversized polka dot flowers by modern japanese artist Yayoi Kusama. Let your imagination go wild as we work collaboratively to create habitats that showcase your one-of-a-kind pieces and bring art to life! Artists’ families will be invited to our Sea Meets Land Grand Finale Art Exhibit to see the adventurous art pieces created individually and collaboratively throughout their camp week!

Magical Ceramic Characters (Half Day) (Ages 7-12)

Join us this summer to glaze bisque-fired ceramic pieces in the happiest art studio on Earth! Students will have the chance to glaze four pieces of ceramic bisqueware based on beloved Disney classics. Glaze artists will get to bring home two dimensional pieces along with their three-dimensional ones. Before artists begin glazing, they will have the chance to draw the pieces of bisqueware with materials such as oil pastels and watercolor. Don’t miss out on your chance to bring the most enchanting stories to life through art!
Week 3: July 7th – July 11th
Brick by Brick: Creating with Legos and Blocks (Full Day) (Ages 7-12)

Let your child’s imagination run free at this blueprint for creativity where legos and artistry collide! We’ll construct vibrant, hands-on art activities using lego blocks as tools for painting, stamping, and designing unique masterpieces. Together, they will engineer collaborative sculptures that tell a story of teamwork and innovation. Along the way, young designers will explore the basics of architectural design as they transform their ideas into imaginative sculptures. Perfect for young builders and budding artists and architects, this camp is a foundation for colorful, creative, fun and unforgettable memories! Artists and their families are welcome to join us on the last day of camp for the Brick by Brick Grand Finale Art Exhibit to celebrate their creativity!
Week 4: July 14th – July 18th
Ceramics and Sculpture (Full Day) (Ages 7-12)

Artists will spend this week sculpting with materials such as clay, cardboard and wire! From creating unique small environments to large vibrant installations, we will use geometric abstract shapes and forms to create 3-D art. We will begin our building process with 2D sketches and drawings as part of our planning process. This hands-on building and designing camp will focus on exploring ceramic and sculpture tools, terms and techniques through handbuilding, wheel throwing, cardboard and wire. Sculptors will create Tic -Tac-Toe boards inspired by themes of their choice, textured jars and decorative relief sculptures. Sculptors will be influenced by dynamic artists like Alexander Calder and Tilde Grynnerup. Take your ideas to the table and see them come to life from 2D -3D! Our sculptors’ families will be invited to see their creations on the final day of camp when we showcase the handbuilt art pieces of our creative artists at our Grand Finale Art Exhibit!
Digital Design (Half Day) (Ages 8-13)

Calling all aspiring cartoonists and animators! In this half day camp, we will learn how to create unique characters and landscapes and bring them to life through digital comics and animation! Students will learn about the fundamentals of digital painting, animation, and photo editing through fun and engaging projects. The skills of game art and world building will also be explored with exciting projects and side quests designed to familiarize the artists with creating digitally! Digital artists will exhibit their digital masterpieces to friends and family on screen at their Grand Finale Art Exhibit on the last day of camp! Artists will need their Apple iPad (The studio does have a limited number of iPads available if necessary. Please inquire at registration, first come first serve.)

Glo Art (Half Day) (Ages 7-12)

Ignite your creativity in this immersive outer space, under the sea and rainforest black light/glow in-the-dark-camp! In this unique environment where young artists can discover the intriguing world of glow-in-the-dark and UV-reactive art, this hands-on experience invites campers to break away from traditional art forms and experiment with techniques that come to life in the dark, sparking their imagination in exciting and unexpected ways. Throughout the camp we will create stunning artwork on canvas, design larger than life paper-mache sculptures and light up the art studio with jaw-dropping installations at our Glo Art Grand Finale Art Exhibit on Friday afternoon.
Week 6: July 28th – August 2nd
Claymation: The Art of Motion (Half Day) (Ages 8-13)

Have you ever dreamed of becoming a stop motion filmmaker? Join the fun as we put art into motion through claymation, paper animation, and whiteboard animation! Watch your stop motion film ideas come to life as we build original characters and their imaginative worlds out of modeling clay, cut paper, and whiteboard designs! Sound effects of the artist’s choice will also be added to finalized videos. After a weeklong of stop motion fun, artists’ friends and families are invited to a special Claymation: The Art of Motion Grand Finale screening showcasing everyone’s stop motion creations on the last day of camp!
Art Techniques: Drawing and Painting (Half Day) (Ages 7-12)

Get ready to use a plethora of art media as you immerse yourself in loads of drawing/painting techniques with fun and innovative subject matter to explore the use of observational skills along with personal creative styles! We will explore drawing and painting as an art process where our young artists learn to develop their sketching and planning skills as they journey through the art world of media and techniques! Artists will use graphite and charcoal to learn about shading three dimensional geometric forms and still life subjects! The science of mixing colors will be taught with the color wheel guiding us through the color theory of the impressionist artists when we paint acrylic French impressionist landscapes and still lives. We will dive into the sea of watercolors and learn the many techniques used by watercolor artists such as Emma Larrson’s and Claire Cowie’s abstract colorful paintings! Our artists will also create lively animal pet portraits using acrylic paint on canvases with creative compositions. Families will be in for a treat when joining us on the final day of our Art Techniques camp to see the masterpieces of our art campers’ beautiful Grand Finale Art Exhibit!
Week 7: August 11th – August 15th
Clay With Us! (Half Day) (Ages 7-12)

This week is all about learning and experimenting with the endless possibilities of clay from relief sculptures to pinch pots and coil building, slab building to wheel throwing! Our three-dimensional forms will first be planned two-dimensionally using traditional art media such as graphite, charcoal and watercolor paints, to learn the planning process of ceramic artists. Artists’ designs and sketches will come to life when building them each day with clay! Clay lessons will be inspired by artists Betty Woodman’s funky colorful clay vessels and Hitomi Hosono’s textural clay pots inspired from nature. We will have fun exploring the world of ceramics with nature, ocean, animal and various artist’s styles inspiring us throughout this exciting hands-on messy week of ceramics camp. After a weeklong of clay fun, friends and family are welcome to join us for the Clay with Us Grand Finale Art Exhibit in celebration of the artists’ hard work!
Glow in the Dark: 80s Retro Fashion (Half Day) (Ages 7-12)

Express yourself and become a designer in our fashion camp this summer! As aspiring young designers you will have the opportunity to create your own collection inspired by famous artists that changed the world of fashion in the 1980’s. Designers such as Gianni Versace, Stephen Sprouse and Donna Karan gained recognition by experimenting with bold and neon colors, geometric and graffiti patterns and oversized silhouettes. Artists will not only sketch and illustrate their own designs, they will create a mood board, learn about textile design, simple sewing, and logo/branding. For our final project, the artists will create a wearable piece out of recycled materials. These pieces are sure to wow the audience as they are modeled by the designers themselves, glow in the dark black lights, and walked down the fashion runway on the final day of their 80’s Retro Fashion Camp.

Dream World (Full Day) (Ages 7-12)

Step into a world where creativity knows no bounds at our Dream World Summer Art Camp! We invite young artists to make dreamy and magical visions a reality using a variety of artistic mediums. Artists will be inspired by the world of Dr. Seuss, Henri Rousseau, and Janet Echelman as they experiment with watercolor, acrylics, oil pastels, paper mache, clay and graphite to create unique drawings, paintings, and sculptures. Artists and their families are welcome to celebrate their hard work with us at the Dream World Grand Finale Art Exhibit on the last day of art camp!
