Our Art Classes for each group are age appropriate and designed to meet the skill set of our students with instruction that is encouraging and educational in a fun social learning environment! We offer sequential based eight week sessions that our artists can continue to develop their artistry for years to come! Each eight-week session culminates in our signature Grand Finale Art Exhibit, where young artists proudly showcase their creations to family and friends. Throughout the session, instructors mat and label each piece, helping artists present their work with confidence and take pride in their creative growth.
Classes for Pre-K and School Age

Art Explorers! (Ages 4-5) in Cranston
Art is an adventure when you begin exploring new art materials and methods! Our young artists will be introduced to drawing, painting and sculpting media while they learn about master artists’ art pieces and styles. This multi sensory based class will also focus on literacy and art vocabulary! Students will be given multiple opportunities to express themselves through a variety of media, including ceramics! Students will also enjoy art discussions with peers as they make social connections through art!

Art Adventures in Drawing & Painting (Ages 6-8) in Cranston
This action packed art class focuses on this age group’s multi-sensory approach to learning. Our young artists will expand upon their use of art vocabulary when they learn about the design elements of line, shape, textures and color seen in the works of master artists: Picasso, Miro, Van Gogh, Frida Kahlo and many more! They will also be encouraged to discuss their ideas that they used in their thematic drawings, paintings and sculptures with their fellow art students!

Drawing and Painting I (Ages 9-13) in Cranston
Learn a lifetime of art skills to grow with that will help you develop your individualized goals as an artist! This class is both an introductory and advanced level class that focuses on the development of our students’ drawing, painting and ceramic skills! Their drawings come to life when they learn how to create art pieces with shading skills and color theory! This class progresses students of all levels, allowing the students to experience a variety of media and lessons. The students’ lessons will focus on the use of design elements and principles of art, artist inspirations and compositional skills as they simultaneously advance their drawing and painting skills. They will be introduced to a variety of drawing media (pencil, ink, etc.) throughout various lessons. Drawing and painting from observation is also strongly encouraged in order to help train their artist eyes as they draw and paint from life as they explore still life, portraits and much more as they journey through each sequenced session!
Please note: Students are divided into groups within the classes based on ages to encourage age appropriate developmental skills and socialization.
Classes for School Age & High School Students

Digital Art and Animation Design (Ages 8-17) in Cranston
This digital design art class is about exploring a variety of digital art media (digital design and animation). Students will create characters, landscapes, comic strip panels and stop motion animation digitally using their Apple iPad with their downloaded apps called Procreate and Stop Motion Studio. Skills of animation designers will be explored with fun and exciting prompts to inspire our young designers! (Students will be grouped according to age and level.)

Classes for High School Students

Drawing and Painting II (Ages 14-17) in Cranston
This high school level class is for students of all levels and previous art experiences, and who are eager to further develop their drawing and painting skills. Students will advance their drawing skills through the use of various drawing media (pencil, pen and ink, charcoal and chalks) and techniques (contour line drawing, shading and color blending) when they explore the traditional subject matter of still life, landscapes and figure portraiture. They will also develop their painting skills when they use their understanding of color theory (color wheel, value, warm and cool colors, intermediate and complementary colors) in their work. Various styles of artists will be shown to inspire the students’ conceptual thinking skills, as well as their use of technical skills in their own creations. The students are given many opportunities to choose their own subject matter and media for their drawings and paintings in this class! This is a great class for students interested in the possible opportunity of participating in the National Scholastics Art and Writing Awards and the Seth Magaziner Art Competition each year. This is also a great course for students interested in creating an art portfolio for college.

Adult Beginner Class (Ages 18+) in Cranston
This class is designed for new students who are excited to explore drawing and painting—no prior experience required. Students are guided step by step through the fundamental skills of drawing, building a strong foundation that prepares them for painting by the end of the session.
Beginner students will start with observational drawing and shading exercises using graphite, developing confidence in line, form, and value. As the course progresses, they will be introduced to color theory through hands-on projects using oil pastels and acrylic paints.
Drawing is the foundation of all visual art, and this class offers a supportive, inspiring environment to begin your creative journey. We look forward to helping you take your first steps as an artist.

Adult Drawing and Painting (Ages 18+) in Cranston
FOR THE BEGINNER: This class is designed with the beginner adult in mind! We will introduce our beginner students to the basics of drawing with the use of graphite and charcoal media during observational drawing and shading lessons before learning about color theory painting. Students are guided through the fundamentals of drawing to help them build their confidence in their art making skills and successfully prepare for their painting lessons! Students’ first 4 week session usually includes more drawing lessons than the painting lessons! We believe drawing is the foundation to all art forms!

This private class is for artists that have the desire to better understand the depth of their art and art-making process, as they develop a strength in their voice as an artist – personally and within the art community.
Claudia Venditto, studio owner and director, as well as artist and educator, has 25+ years experience in the art of teaching others in public and private settings. She is well known for creating a safe and supportive learning environment for others that illuminates their skills and goals as artists. She works with goal-oriented strategies that are unique to meet the intentions of individuals, so they can better understand their art making process and purpose as an artist with more clarity.
Claudia also has many years of experience mentoring art educators to help strengthen their goals as art educators. She offers support to educators in the areas of lesson planning and classroom management strategies.
