1. To register for Spring II (Summer Classes and Camps as well) classes please click register here to create an account and select the class you are signing up for. 

2. Payment can be made for the class online, credit card or cash/check.

1. We require completed registration forms and full payments for our classes and camps as your child’s reservation. 
2. We also offer a 10% percent sibling discount.

Paint A Canvas on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays!
Choose an image you like from our collection seen on our Paint A Canvas flyer and we will help you paint it!

Tuesdays/Thursdays: 10am -11:30am
 June 26, 28, July 10, 12, 17,19, 24, 26, 31, Aug. 2, 7,9, 14, 16, 21, 23

Saturdays: 9:00am-11:00am
 July 7, 14, 21, 28; August 4, 11, 18, 25

Cost: $30 – Must register with us ahead of time!

NEW!  “Art Gallery Night”

Summer campers and students of ALL ages are invited to participate in our “Art Gallery Night” .  One art piece, chosen by each participating student, will be on exhibit for all to see! Friends and family arte invited to attend.

Art Camps for Pre K and K (Ages 3-6)

High Quality Art Camps for ages 3–6  with a Mindful Approach:

Three days per week (9am-12pm)
$195, 10% discount given to additional sibling

  • Each thematic based art camp week includes drawing, painting, plus a creative movement/music lesson and creative writing component to enhance the creativity of the whole child.
  • Grand Finale Art Exhibits are held the on the final day of each camp week at noon for our artists, friends and family to enjoy!
  • We provide morning snack and drink as an option. Please inform us of any allergies your child has.
  • Register for more than one camp and receive a Free Blue Door Studio T-shirt!
  • Week 1: Go Wild with Art
    Monday, Wednesday and Friday: July 9, 11 and 13

Be inspired by the art of Henri Matisse and the popular story Where the Wild Things Are when drawing, painting and sculpting animals from your imagination!

  • Week 2: Flower Power
    Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday: July 17, 18 and 19

Oh the POWER of art and science! Explore the life cycle of flowers and learn about the paintings of Georgia O’Keeffe.  Learn about a variety of art media when creating mixed media flower power art pieces: drawings, paintings and 3D relief sculptures!

  • Week 3: Native American Art
    Monday, Wednesday and Friday: July 23, 25 and 27

Learn about the Native American culture and their many art forms such as buffalo skin paintings, dot painting and pottery!  Create your own Native American inspired shakers and rain sticks!

  • Week 4: Under the Sea
    Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday: July 31, Aug. 1, 2

Learn about the collages of Eric Carle when creating your own sea life environment paintings and collages! Work collaboratively with others to create a wall size mural. Use found objects to create your own sea creature mobile sculptures, similar to the mobiles Alexander Calder!

  • Week 5: Pop Art – Sweet Treats
    Monday, Wednesday and Friday: Aug. 6, 8 and 10

Take a close look at the contemporary and FUN art styles of Wayne T., Andy Warhol and Claus Oldenburg.  Learn how to make your own art “POP” with colors and shapes when painting images of cupcakes, lollipops and fun fruits! Make prints, drawings, paintings and sculptures with the boldness of pop culture!

  • Week 6: Art is a Dream!
    Monday, Wednesday and Friday: Aug. 13, 15 and 17

Learn about the magic of color mixing when creating paintings using primary and secondary colors, inspired by the dream world paintings of Joan Miro’!

Learn about Surrealism and create your own magical landscape collage and sculpture, as you explore the idea of dreamscapes!

  • Week 7: Art in Motion
    Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday:  Aug. 20, 21 and 22

Art that moves, mobiles and much more! Travel with line to create a storyline with imagination and color as you learn about the line used in Paul Klee art pieces. Create art prints using the motion of rolling marbles and strings!

Art Camps for Ages 7-12

High Quality Art Camps for ages 7-12 with a Mindful Approach:

  • Our Art Camps for ages 7-12 are designed to be captivating, collaborative and engaging! We encourage the use of critical thinking skills in motivating ways
  • Grand Finale Art Exhibits for our Art Campers are held every Friday for friends and family to enjoy!

Our Camp Registration Options, Choose One:

  • Option 1: Five Half Days: Monday-Friday, 9am-12pm//Cost $245
    Daily Schedule Includes: Studio Time I, Morning Snack, Studio Time II, One Hour Yoga Class on one day, Grand Finale Art Exhibit at 11:45am on Friday
  • Option 2: Five Full Days: Monday-Friday, 9am-3pm//$365
    Daily Schedule Includes: Studio Time I, Morning Snack, Studio Time II, One 1 Yoga class, 1 Music Class and 1 Creative Writing Class throughout the week, Plus a Grand Finale Art Exhibit at 2:45pm on Friday.
  • We provide morning snack and drink within each offered option. Please inform us of any allergies that your child has. Students will need their own peanut-free brown bag lunches each day.

  • Week 1: Paint A Canvas!
    Monday, Tuesday and Friday: July 2, 3 and 6
    9am-12pm option only, Grand Finale Art Exhibit on Friday at 11:45am
    Cost $195
    Students will explore the wonderful world of paintings and complete an 11”x 14” canvas painting each day!  Painting themes explored: Georgia O’Keefe Flowers, Sea Turtles and the Eiffel Tower!
  • Week 2: Fun City
    Monday-Friday: July 9-13
    Ever wanted to create your own city structure or tree house? This is your opportunity to learn about architecture, drawing, painting and building.  We will be looking at cityscapes, buildings and bridge designs to help us create our own structures. 
  • Week 3: Animation Design I
    Monday-Friday: July 16-20
    This week is for students who are looking to bring their designs to life!  We will work with character design and animation. Students will use tools and techniques to make their art interactive. Students are required to bring their own I-Phone or I-Pad.
  • Week 4: Fashion Week!
    Monday–Friday: July 23–27
    Campers will create mood boards, figure drawings and clothing lines created from the camper’s own individualized fashion sense!  Grand Finale Fashion Show for family and friends to enjoy and see!
  • Week 5: Ocean Depths
    Monday–Friday: July 30-Aug. 3
    Explore the depths of the ocean! Create Paper Mache sea creatures, paintings and much more as you draw, paint and sculpt from your imagination!
  • Week 6: Animation Design II
    Monday- Friday: Aug.  6 – 10
    This week is for students who are looking to bring their designs to life! We will work with character design and animation. Students will use tools and techniques to make their art interactive. We welcome repeat campers from Animation Design I and offer them new subjects to explore! Students are required to bring their own I-Phone or I-Pad.
  • Week 7: Travel the World
    Monday- Friday: Aug. 13-17
    Travel the world creating art as magnificent as your imagination. Each day we will visit a different country and experience its arts and culture creating art pieces along the way! Join us and fill your artist passport with fun!
  • Week 8: Mix it Up Media!
    Monday–Friday: Aug. 20-24
    Draw, Paint and Sculpt like the Greats!  Learn about the drawings, paintings and sculptures of artists Picasso, Hepworth, Van Gogh and Oldenburg as you explore the art of mixed media materials, combining watercolors, oil pastels, paint and found objects!

Summer Art Classes for All Ages:

I. Classes for ages 3-6

  • Art Explorers
    Mondays (FULL,No Space Available): 4:30-5:30pm: July 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, Aug. 6, 13, 20 OR Saturdays: 9-10am: July 7,14,21,28, Aug. 4,11,18,25
    Cost: $185

Art is an adventure when you begin exploring new art materials and methods!  Artists will be introduced to drawing, painting and sculpting media while they learn about master artists’ art pieces and styles. This multi-sensory based class will also focus on literacy and art vocabulary!

II. Classes for Ages 7-9

  • Foundations for Drawing and Painting I
    Mondays: 3:30-5:30pm:  July 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, Aug. 6, 13, 20
    OR Saturdays: 9–11am:  July 7, 14, 21, 28, Aug. 4, 11, 18, 25
    Cost: $310, material list will be offered upon registration

Learn to draw from observation and shade with graphite pencils, mix colors with oil pastels and acrylic paints! Create still life drawings and acrylic landscape paintings!

III.  Classes for Ages 10-12

  • Drawing and Painting II
    Thursdays 3:30-5:30pm:  June 28, July 12, 19, 26, Aug. 2, 9, 16 and 23
    OR Saturdays: 9–11am July 7, 14, 21, 28, Aug. 4, 11, 18, 25
    Cost: $310, material list will be offered upon registration

III. Classes for Ages 13- High School

  • Drawing and Painting III

Students with previous experience will be challenged with techniques and conceptual thinking skills. Interested in creating art portfolio pieces for college? This class can offer you this option if interested.

IV. Classes for Adults

    • Beginner and Advanced Drawing and Painting
      Thursdays 6-8pm ($185 + one time $25 registration fee)
      4 Weeks: Sessions begin the first Thursday of each month
      This class offers instruction to the beginners as well as the more advanced students.  We start our beginners with the fundamentals of drawing and painting (color theory) and we instruct our advanced students with more challenging skills and techniques used in portraiture and landscape painting.
