Please Note:
1. We require completed registration forms and full payments for our classes and camps as your child’s reservation. 
2. We also offer a 10% percent sibling discount.
3. Please make us aware of your child’s allergies,if any. Please complete the anaphylaxis emergency action plan, if need be and submit prior to the start of camp/class.
4. Please pack peanut free and tree nut free snacks/ lunches ONLY!!!
5. Material fees are due on the first day of our art classes and art camps.

Week 5: (July 24th – 28th)
9 a.m.- 3 p.m. each day!
Cost: $325, plus $10 material fee to instructor

Students will create a variety of thematic paper mache’ sculptures which include sea creatures,animal masks and pop art fun foods! Sketching / drawing skills and painting skills will be included!

High Quality Art Camps for ages Pre K and K

with a Mindful Approach:

~ Our Pre K-K Art Camps are designed to be captivating, collaborative and engaging! We encourage the use of critical thinking skills in motivating ways. Our Art Camps are taught by professional art educators. with the help of teacher assistants. 

~Each thematic based art camp week includes drawing , painting and sculpture lessons , plus a creative movement/music lesson and creative writing component to enhance the creativity of the whole child.

~ Grand Finale Art Exhibits are held every Friday at noon for our artists, friends and family to enjoy!

Art Camps for Pre K and K:

Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 9:00-12:00pm

 Week 1: Artsy Animals

June 26th,  28th and 30th

Be inspired by the wild life and the art of Henri Rousseau and the abstract animals of Paul Klee when drawing, painting and sculpting with clay! Learn about the habitats of animals-large and small!

Week 2: Flower Power

July 10th, 12th and 14th

Oh the POWER of art and science! Explore the life cycle of flowers like a scientist when studying the art pieces of Vincent Van Gogh and Georgia O’Keefe.  Learn about a variety of art media when creating mixed media flower power art pieces: drawings, paintings and  3-d relief sculptures!

Week 3: Asian Art

July 17th, 19th and 21st

Travel to Japan and be inspired by nature when creating koi fish paintings and sculptures, cherry blossom landscapes and learn about “The Great Wave” print by artist Hokusai. Design your own  passport and learn to travel to far away places with art!

Week 4: Under the Sea
July 24th, 26th and 28th
Learn about the expressive art of Joseph William Turner and the collages of Eric Carle when creating your own sea life environment paintings and collages! Work collaboratively with others to create a wall size mural. Use found objects to create your own sea creature mobile sculptures, similar to the mobiles Alexander Calder!

Week 5: Pop Art!
July 31st, Aug. 2nd and Aug. 4th
Take a close look at the contemporary and FUN art styles of Wayne T., Andy Warhol and Oldenburg.  Learn how to make your own art “POP” with colors and shapes that reflect everyday modern day images of today! Make prints, drawings, paintings and sculptures with the boldness of pop culture!

Week 6: Art is a Dream!
Aug 7th, 9th and 11th
Learn about magic of color mixing when creating paintings using primary and secondary colors, inspired by the dream world paintings of Joan Miro’!Learn about Surrealism and create your own magical landscape collage and sculpture, as you explore  the idea of dreamscapes!

Cost: $170,plus $5 material fee to instructor
Art is an adventure when you begin exploring new art materials and methods! Our young artists will be introduced to drawing, painting and sculpting media while they learn about master artists’ art pieces and styles. This multi-sensory based class will also focus on literacy and art vocabulary! Students will be given multiple opportunities to express themselves through a variety of media and art discussions with their peers.

Art Camps for ages 7-12

High Quality Art Camps for ages 7-12 with a Mindful Approach

~Our Art Camps are designed to be captivating, collaborative and engaging! Our Art Camps are taught by professional art educators along with teacher assistants. Each thematic based art camp week includes drawing, painting and sculpture lessons!

~ Our Mindful Art Approach: Each week includes drawing, painting and ceramic lessons.  We also offer the inspirations of yoga, creative writing, and music appreciation throughout the week to inspire the creative minds of the whole child!  Each is optional to the art campers but we highly recommend all to participate!

~Grand Finale Art Exhibits for our Art Campers are held every Friday for friends and family to enjoy!

Art Camps for 7-12

Monday thru Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm

We provide morning snack and drink. Students will need their own peanut-free brown bag lunches each day.

Cost: $325, plus $10 material fee to instructor

Week 1:  Pop Art Mania// June 26th – 30th 

Ready, set, draw, paint and sculpt with your own expressive style! Discover the contemporary art styles of Andy Warhol and Carl O. when you discover the unique styles we all possess as artists in our everyday lives! Learn about the black and white art style of Robert M. and the abstract art style of Jackson Pollock, known as “Jack the Dripper”. We will also be creating sculptures about our favorite foods as we learn about the art of Wayne T.

Week 2: Paint a Canvas!// July 5th,6th,7th, 9am-12pm,

Cost: $175,plus $10 material fee to instructor (shorter week = different weekly rate for this week only)

Cost $175,material fee to instructor $10 Students will explore the wonderful world of paintings and complete an 11” x  14” canvas painting each day!  Themes explored will be Georgia O’Keefe Flowers, Abstract Action Paintings like Pollock and Tropical Fish!

Week 3:  Fashion Week// July 10th-14th

Mood Boards, Figure drawings and more!  This week is designed to spark the individualized fashion sense of each camper!  Students will create a fashion statement when they create an original clothing line of their own  (outfit and accessories ) using drawing skills and  found object materials.  Students will need to bring a cotton t-shirt to camp this week!

Week 4:  Teen Week! // July 17th -21st –FOR AGES 13-17 only!

This week is all about the fundamentals of drawing and painting. Elements and Principles of Design are put into action as we use them to create still-life compositions and self-portraits. Problem solving will be encouraged as the young artists develop their art skills and techniques with mini lessons that will lead them to focused final works.  Teen artists will find inspiration in the artists works of Alice Neil and Barry Mose.

Week 5:  Now changed to Paper Mache’ Bonanza // July 24th- July 28th

Create 3-D Paper Mache’ sculptures all week long!  Drawing and painting skills will be practiced as students create 3-D thematic sculptures of sea creatures, animal masks and Pop Art fun foods!  Fun, fun and more fun!

Week 6: Under The Sea // July 31st-Aug 4th 

Explore the depths of the sea and your imagination when creating a sculptural environment with found objects and mixed media! Thin big and paint a wall size mural with fellow art campers that uses colors and textures to capture the colors of sea creatures and learn how to shade 3-D sea creature forms! Paper mache’ sculptures of fish will also  be created from references and imagination !

Week 7:  Animation Design// Aug . 7th  – Aug 11th

Please Note: “Animation Week 7 ” is FULL!  No more registrations will can be accepted.  However, “City Arts” – Week 5,  also includes stop animation lessons & computer altered imagery lessons and has availability!!!!!  Register Today!

This week is for students who are looking to bring their designs to life. We will work with character design and animation. Students will use tools and techniques to make their art interactive. We will showcase work that moves and tells a story through flipbooks, storyboards, and stop animation.

Week 8:  Around the World in 5 Days // Aug . 14th  – Aug 18th

Travel the world creating art as magnificent as your imagination.   Each day we will visit a different country and experience its arts and culture creating art pieces along the way.  Our art making travels around the globe will land us in Asia, France and Mexico to name a few.  This week long journey includes drawing, painting, ceramics and sculpture that are specific to each country. Join us and fill your artist passport with fun!

This class is an introductory class to drawing and painting and sculpture! The students’ lessons will focus on the design elements and principles of art, as well as drawing, painting and sculpting techniques. The students will be introduced to a variety
of drawing media (pencil, ink, pastels) and painting media (watercolor and acrylics) as they utilize the elements of designs and 
principles in their creative compositions!

 

Advanced Drawing and Painting

This advanced level class is for students who have had previous drawing and painting experiences and who are eager to further develop their drawing and painting skills! The students will create one drawing, using pen and ink and one acrylic painting in this session! Themes/subjects of lessons TBA. Material list supplied upon registration.

Sessions for Adults

Beginner and Advanced Drawing and Painting

Thursdays 6:00-8:00 

4 Weeks: Sessions begin the first Monday of each month

Cost: $185,monthly

Bring spiral bound 9″x 12″ spiral bound sketchbook and new students bring a set of 8-12 artist drawing pencils (found at Michaels’, Dick Blick / Utrecht in Providence)

This class offers instruction to the beginners as well as the more advanced students.  We start our beginners with the fundamentals of drawing and painting (color theory) and we instruct our advanced students with more challenging skills and techniques used in portraiture and landscape painting,
